The Wildland Urban Fire (WUF) Summit is one of New Mexico’s largest events designed to discuss and prepare the state for wildfires, including the impending 2018 wildfire season. The theme for this year’s WUF Summit is “Collaborative Community Action” and this topic will be highlighted throughout the two-day summit. There will be three concurrent track themes focusing on technical, How does it work?, collaborative, Who can I work with?, and action, What can I do?
On Wednesday, April 11, attendees will participate in a field trip to the Santa Fe Watershed, Gonzales Road, Firewise Communities, Hyde Park, Santa Fe Ski Basin, and Tesuque and end the day with a community networking reception. Local government leaders, fire and emergency responders, businesses, and community members are encouraged to attend. For more information or to register, click here!
