Have you asked yourself…
Are we making the best decision for wildlife in a changing climate?
Am I using the best available information on wildlife management and fire?
Who is doing similar work that I can learn from?
How do we know if we are having good outcomes for wildlife?
The SW Fire Science Consortium, AZ Wildfire Initiative, and many other partners are hosting a yearlong series of workshops, webinars, and reports to improve wildlife outcomes in the face of fire and climate change. This series is intended to help researchers and practitioners across disciplines to exchange ideas, tools, and lessons to address the rapid pace and scale of fire management.
This virtual kickoff workshop on January 23rd and 24th, 2024 begins with an overview of the effort, a panel discussion, and breakout report out on Day 1. Day 2 includes two breakout report outs and an interactive exercise to identify possible topics and speakers for the webinar series that will follow. The webinars will be hosted by SW Fire Science Consortium this summer! To register for the webinars and view recordings click here!
